AUGUST RECIPE ROUND-UP

I have a real mixed bag of most searched for recipes for you this month.  Simply click on the caption below each image to access the recipe.

Top pick and one of our own favourites too, Greek Lamb Stew.

This Peach Bread Pudding came in at a close second and very timely with fresh local peaches hitting the garden stands and farmers’ markets.  Canned peaches works really well too.  I always pack away at least one large tin when provisioning for more lengthy trips.  Evaporated milk is also a staple in my galley.  Whip it all up with eggs and leftover bread and you have a tasty dessert or easy breakfast dish.

Third in line for your pick this month was this lowly meatloaf recipe.  Lowly indeed!  It comes with three other recipes.  Horse Radish Sauce, Easy Pickled Onions and Meatloaf Potato Soup.

I’m a little surprised this next recipe doesn’t come up as your tip pick each month.  So easy!  So moist!  And it keeps so well.

Guinness Chocolate Cake

Fifth and last but certainly not least…this lavender infused syrup makes the most refreshing drink.  Make up a batch. There is still a whole lot of summer left for enjoying a thirst-quenching cocktail.
