I’ve been a very very bad Kat! Having an addictive personallity means there are some things I just don’t keep on hand. Sea Salt and Black Pepper Chips for one. Another, which I refuse to buy any more is Irish Cream Liqueur. I won’t mention any particular brand. They are all the same and all evil. Just thinking about them makes my belly ache…they are that rich, and that good!
We have been invited to a Saint Patrick’s Day celebration with friends and of course I want to bring a host gift. So what did I do? Made some delicious Irish Cream I did!
Bad, bad Kat!
Really, really delicious Irish Cream!
what you will need
1½ cups Irish whiskey
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1½ teaspoons instant espresso powder
1 tablespoon good quality dark chocolate syrup
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1½ cups heavy cream
whipping up the goodness
In a large bowl stir together all of the above until all ingredients are well mixed.
Chill for a least 4 hours.
Enjoy well chilled over ice or get creative and make your own cocktails.
Will keep well refrigerated for 2 weeks.
