TURKEY KABOBS on the GRILL
Yesterday’s weather/dinner plan misfire
became tonight’s tasty sunset treat…
(cold pouring rain does not a happy Captain make)
…but tonight was an entirely different story…
…these easy little Moroccan inspired turkey kabobs…
…with the addition of brown rice
(pressure cooker ready in just 15 minutes)
…and some boat-grown sprouts,
made a delicious sunset cockpit meal.
1 lb lean ground turkey
1 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp minced onion
1 tbsp minced or grated fresh ginger
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp grated coriander
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground pepper
olive oil to baste
Mix all but oil and set aside in refrigerator for 30 minutes
(this will make forming the kabobs easier)
Divide meat into 8 mounds.
Roll into sausage forms.
Insert a skewer into each.
Baste all round with oil
Grill, turning often until juices run clear.
Serve over your favourite salad or on rice or both.
A dash or three of sriracha or Harissa makes it perfect.
