By now you know that I’m not a big fan of commercially prepared mixes

and whenever I can I make my own.

My Mississippi Roast recipe called for Ranch Dressing mix

so I substituted the following…

(I liked Gimme Some Oven‘s recipe the best)

1/3 cup buttermilk powder

2 tbsp dried parsley

1-1/2 tsp dried dill

2 tsp onion powder

2 tsp dried onion flakes

2 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp ground pepper

1 tsp sea salt

1 tsp dried chives

Place all in an air-tight container

or if you like a finer mix,

whur in a blender until powdery.

1 tbsp = 1 package of mix

To make Ranch Dressing

add 1 tbsp dry mix with 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt

and 1/3 cup milk.

Here are a few more of my Galley Kat mixes for your repertoire:

Chai Spice

Taco Seasoning Mix

Universal Muffin Mix

Bisquick Clone

Dried Onion Soup Mix Clone
