Serves: 2 servings
  • Salmon filets, enough for 2 servings (1/4 - ½ pound), skin removed
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce (I always use Bragg Soya Liquid Seasoning - SO much less sodium than soya sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • Lemon wedges to serve
  1. Sprinkle both sides of the salmon with salt, pepper and paprika rubbing the seasonings into the flesh well.
  2. Set aside.
  3. In large saucepan melt butter.
  4. Add garlic and saute until golden.
  5. Add honey, water and soya sauce and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Stir in lemon juice.
  7. Add salmon filets to the pan.
  8. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, spooning sauce over them as they cook.
  9. Turn salmon over and continue to cook until flesh is moist and pink, again continuing to baste with sauce.
  10. Transfer to serving plate, spooning a little sauce over each.
  11. Garnish with a wedge of lemon.
