STOVE TOP BAKED APPLES

Ingredients
  • 4 baking apples
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp butter (1/2 stick)
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts
  • Cream, icecream, or whipped cream for serving
Instructions
  1. Core apples making the hole about ¾ of the way into each.
  2. The hole I made was about 1.5” in diameter, just enough to accomodate the filling.
  3. Add the cinnamon to the brown sugar them cream in the soften butter.
  4. Stir in the walnuts.
  5. Divide the ‘stuffing’ evening amongst the 4 apples, pressing down firmly into each cavity.
  6. Heat the Omnia base plate on high for 5 minutes,
  7. Place apples in Omina cook pan, cover and put on the heated based plate.
  8. Cook on high for 5 minutes, then reduce the heat to meium low and continue to cook until apples are cooked through, about 25-30 minutes.
  9. Serve warm with cream, ice cream or whipped cream.
