MIGHTY SPICY BAERSAR

Sometimes all of this cold frosty and very icey weather
calls for a spicy and hearty cocktail.
We have beer on hand…
We have a small bottle of Clamato juice…
and the rest of the ingredients for this tasty drink,
a lighter version of my Blood Thirsty Caesar Shrimp Shooters (recipe here),
are staples in our galley…land or water-based.
MIGHTY SPICY BAERSAR
2 servings
2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
1 tbsp sriracha
1 tbsp horseradish
1/2 tsp ground pepper
1/2 tsp sea salt
lime juice and celery seeds to rim glasses
1 bottle of your favourite beer (an IPA would be good)
(our ‘pre-spring’ AKA ‘winter’ beer is Guinness so that’s what I used)
ice
2 celery sticks
2 slices bacon
a dash of maple syrup
Fry the bacon until almost crispy.
Drizzle some maple syrup around the edges of the bacon
and continue to cook until the maple syrup caramelizes to the bacon.
When cooled string bacon onto a cocktail skewer.
Mix the first 6 ingredients together
Pour equally into 2 beer glasses rimmed with celery seeds.
Add ice
Top up with beer.
Garnish with bacon and celery stick.
Cheers!
or as they say here in Frenchland
‘Tchin Tchin’!!
….feeling a little warmer already…
…or how about bacon and eggs for brunch?
Mmmmmm!
