When provisioning I try really hard to balance space available,

ease of preparation,

how healthy it is,

and how well does it keep in a humid environment…

Bisquick clone recipe is one of my favourite recipe hacks.

Anything that can be made with the commercial mix can be made with the clone.

I make up a complete batch and portion out enough for individual recipes

and store in BPA-free food bags.

So because today is a rainy-no-wind-can’t-sail-get-work-done kind of day,

I made pancakes with grilled sausage.

enough for 2 hungry sailors

2 cups Bisquick clone mix

2 eggs

1 cup milk (more for thinner pancakes)

Whisk milk and eggs together

Stir in dry mix.

Grill sausage (I cooked enough to reheat for a 2nd breakfast)

Set aside in bowl tented with foil to keep warm.

Pour portions of batter onto hot griddle.

Flip when bubbles break the surface.

Brown on second side.

Serve with butter and maple syrup.
